Review…

I was sent a pack of (500) Sheets of Origami Paper from Orchid to review.

This pack costs $17.99.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of Orchid Origami Paper

The Origami paper itself was in great condition, but the packaging was horrible.  Both ends of the pack were opened when I received it, and I was lucky that the paper didn't fall sideways and fall out.  It was wrapped in a clear, thin cellophane.

The actual paper is sandwiched inside a cover sheet, and an instruction sheet.

The front sheet labels the product, brand, distribution information, and sizing information.  It also lists five features of this paper:

+ High Quality Folding Paper
+ Vibrant Colors
+ Perfect Size & Thickness
+ Economy Pack - Big Savings!
+ Easy to Fold

The back sheet has directions to fold a star.  The warning information, and cautionary statements are printed towards the bottom.

This pack has ten different colors, fifty sheets of each. Each sheet measures 6.0" x 6.0".

My Personal Experience with Orchid Origami Paper

I used to create Origami animals and other creations when I was younger.  My grandpa was really big into it, and purchased a whole Origami set and taught me, my brother, and my sister all how to do it.  We started off easy, but I've always wanted to try and get better at it.  That's why I'm glad that I was able to review this paper because it's a great place to start!

My husband and I each picked out what we wanted to fold.  Trey chose the pinwheel, and I decided to go with the default star on the instruction sheet.

The star began easy...

... but it didn't end that way!  I tried to make this three times, and failed miserably two of them.  The last time turned out just okay.

My husband, on the other hand, rocked at this!

He added a straw at the end to make his pinwheel move.

Pros of Orchid Origami Paper
  • Quality feel.
  • Slightly weighted.
  • Holds the folds.
  • Great colors.
          Cons of Orchid Origami Paper
          • The packaging is terrible, and should be packaged differently.
                  Summary

I really am enjoying this pack of paper.  I love the creativity, and if you search online, there are so many different pieces you can make.  It's a lot of fun for anybody, and a great pastime.
