..::Product Review::.. Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator

My Review of the Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Our wine aerator allows you to select between 7 different settings(0-6) of wine aeration equivalent to approximately 1 hour of decanting per setting for a maximum possible 6 hours. Wine is made up of hundreds of compounds, and with aeration, usually the volatile undesirable compounds will evaporate faster than the desirable, aromatic and flavorful ones. Wine, particularly red, often benefits from aeration to allow the fruit to shine through and the flavors to mellow out. This is traditionally done through decanting in an open container, however with our busy lives an aerator can allow for this on a glass by glass basis."

Review…

I was sent the magic wine aerator for red wine from Fete to review.

This aerator costs $28.97.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of the Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator

This wine aerator arrived in great condition.  There were no dents, defects, nor issues during shipment.  The package included the aerator itself, a stand, and a storage pouch.  The pack measures 9.25" x 3.0" x 3.25" at its widest points.  The pack is really nice and reusable.  The top totally pulls off from the bottom.

The front of the box labels the product, has a large picture of it in action, and says 'Exclusively for Red Wine'.  The back of the package labels the features of this aerator and annotates five exclusive points.

The right side of the box graphs the ppm of oxygen v. the speeds of decanting (for competition aerators).  It explains more about the variation of speeds.  The left side of the box shows how to twist the metal band to choose the aeration setting.

The box is sealed on both sides, so be sure to peel off the seals before opening the box.

When you get it open, you will see everything packaged so nicely!  The components are held securely with plastic pieces.

Everything was wrapped tightly in plastic, and it easily came off to reveal each piece.

My Personal Experience with the Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator

I'm not a huge wine drinker, but when I do drink it, I want it to taste good.  I usually migrate towards the white wines, but a nice sweet red is always nice.  I only recently found out about aerators, but let me tell you-- they really make a huge difference.

I love how you can select your aeration setting.  I chose (5) for my first glass.

It's easy-- hold it over your glass and pour in your wine!

If you are planning on having more than one glass (of course you will!), there is a little stand to keep your aerator on the counter without it laying on its side.  It's pretty handy!

Now-- when you are totally done with everything and it's washed and dried, store it in its pouch.  It keeps everything together, clean, and ready to go for next time!

Pros of the Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator
  • High quality and durable.
  • I love that you can choose your aeration setting.
  • I'm loving the storage pouch-- I'm big into them.  I love having a special place for my stuff.
  • The stand is very thoughtful. It keeps everything lookin' good!
Cons of the Fete Home Adjustable Wine Aerator
        • I wish the storage bag was a bit bigger.  It's really tight in there when you try to fit in both the aerator and the stand.
              Summary

It's always nice to review a product that is so durable and high quality.  I can tell from the get-go by the packaging.  This box is heavy duty itself.  You can keep it to put other stuff in, or store your aerator in it for long term.  The aerator itself is perfect for oxygenating red wines, and makes a $5.00 bottle of wine taste like a $50.00 bottle of wine!
