My Review of the Miomix MX-10 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Music, sounds and calls for everyone, everywhere, anytime...

…whether singing in the shower, driving alone in your car, or partying with family and friends out by the patio, pool or beach… what better way to set the mood than by playing your favorite tunes with a Bluetooth speaker!

This new wireless, rechargeable, waterproof speaker is the best buddy for listening to music, audio books or even picking up calls from your smartphone, tablets, and other digital devices. Remarkably sturdy yet portable, you can use it indoor, outdoor, even under the rain, and with the suction cap, you can stick it up virtually anywhere on a smooth surface."

Review…

I was sent the white/gray MX-10 speaker from Miomix to review.

The price for this speaker is $24.97, and ships free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of the Miomix MX-10 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker

This speaker arrived to my house in great condition.  It came in a heavy duty plastic package, so everything was in great shape.  The package is clear so you can see directly through to the actual mitt.  The 'holding' part of the box is black, but it's super sturdy.  The package measures 3.75" x 3.75" x 2.5".  The package also included a set of concise instructions, and a charging cord.

The outside of the box was wrapped in plastic, but you can still see through it.

The front of the box labels the product and brand.  The back of the box pictures all of the available colors.  That's all the information on the box.

Everything looks great!

The front of the speaker is where you'll find all of the buttons.  The back features a large suction cup.

My Personal Experience with the Miomix MX-10 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker

I love playing music while I'm in the shower, but the running water really drowns out the sounds.  I've never owned a speaker that I could put in the shower, so this was a first for me.  I was pretty excited, though, because I was ready for some music clarity!

Before anything, I charged this up!  I plugged it in, and waited for the red light to turn to blue.

After that, I had to pair it.  It took about 5 seconds.  I've had experience in pairing bluetooth before, so that may make a difference.  If this will be your first time, read the directions.  It walks you through each step thoroughly.

Next, I stuck this inside my shower.  I placed it up high on the back wall, so it doesn't come in direct contact with water.  Keep in mind that this speaker is water-resistant, not water-proof.

I'll bet your wondering how it works.  Well, allow me to show you!  I made a short video of me using it.

Pros of the Miomix MX-10 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker
  • Water-resistant.
  • Great choice of colors.
  • Nice sound quality.
  • Easy to use.
  • Holds charge for awhile.
Cons of the Miomix MX-10 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker
  • I put this up like any other suction cup, but I found that it fell in the morning.  I grabbed some warm water and soaked the suction cup, and I finally got it to stay for good.  Just a warning-- you don't want it to fall and break.
          Summary

This is incredible!  It is a lot of fun to use, and produces nice sounding music.  I love how it looks in the shower, too.  It's easy to connect your phone to, and it works with any phone capable of Bluetooth.  Be sure to check this out!
