..::Product Review::.. SuppressMints

My Review of SuppressMints

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"SuppressMint® is a dot-sized, long-lasting, slow-dissolve time-release breath mint that is fortified with the proven dietary supplement and appetite suppressant Chromax® (chromium picolinate).   You simply put the mint in your mouth between your gum and cheek where it takes up to three hours to dissolve, and then, forget about it.

During the time it takes to dissolve or "melt" many people report they lose their desire and cravings for foods that make us all fat—especially refined carbohydrates (cakes, cookies, chips, ice-cream, donuts, pastries, soda, etc.).

The end result is that you have the willpower to overcome the temptations and cravings that these foods stimulate and the willpower to stay on a healthy dieting and eating program so you can lose all the unhealthy body fat you want and to keep it off for good."

Review…

I was sent a bottle of 100 oral slow-dissolve SuppressMint microtabs and a pocket dispenser from NeuOra Microceuticals to review.

The price for this bottle is $19.95.  Shipping is around $2.00.

Packaging & Presentation of SuppressMints

I am happy to say that this product arrived in great condition.  Everything was packed in a soft bubble mailer, and was perfectly intact.  There were no damages during shipment.  Both the bottle and the pocket dispenser are made of white plastic.  The bottle's label is white with purple and black accents.  The bottle measures 2.5" x 1.5" at its widest points.  The pocket dispenser measures 1.5" in diameter.  A little paper with instructions was also included.

The front of the bottle labels the product and brand.  It also has a quick description of what it does, "Craving & Appetite Control Formula".  The lot number and expiration date are printed on the bottom of the bottle.

The first part of the label has a nice description of the supplement.  The directions are clear, and easy to understand.  The Supplement Facts are clear and in large-print.  The second part of the label lists the 'other' ingredients.  There is a QR code, a UPC, and company contact information.

The bottle does have a safety seal-- and I love that!  There isn't an 'easy-tear' strip, so grab the scissors!

There is also a second seal underneath the cap.

My Personal Experience with SuppressMints

These are so awesome.  You have diet pills. Diet drinks. Diet books. Diet patches.  But I've never seen a diet mint before!  I was beyond excited to put these to the test!  I love mints, and who doesn't want to lose a few pounds!?

After opening the bottle, I took everything out.  Boy, there was a lot of cotton in there.  You should be stock in it; that's how much there was!  But the purpose for it is to reduce movement during shipment, and it worked.  These mints didn't budge.

The mints are quite tiny as you can see.

These are really simple to use.  You take a mint.  Put it on your tongue for a minute to moisten it.  Then (using your tongue), move it to your upper or lower rear gum line.  That's it!  It adheres to your gum line, and slowly dissolves over the course of 2 - 3 hours.  During that time, it is supposed to help control cravings to those fatty foods you shouldn't be snacking on.  I love the little pocket dispenser it came it.  It's cute, handy, and fits in small spots!

Pros of SuppressMints
  • Innovative idea-- I've never seen anything like this before.
  • Controls appetite and stabilizes blood sugar.
  • Fixes bad breath, helps whiten teeth, and re-mineralizes tooth enamel.
  • Slow-dissolving-- one mint lasts 2 - 3 hours.
  • The little pocket dispenser is convenient and cute.
  • Worth every bit of $19.95.
  • You can drink water while using the mints.
Cons of SuppressMints
  • The writing on the bottle is so small.
  • You are out of luck with this product if you don't like 'mint' flavor.  Maybe the company can develop a different flavor like 'cinnamon' or 'fruit'.
Summary

I am in love with these!  They are such a great idea.  I'm a mint user and gum chewer, so these are right up my alley.  I find them to be easy to use, and effective.  They company even sends a little dispenser to carry around, so you'll always have your SuppressMints with you.  You get a lot for your money, and I'm definitely going to buy more.
