My Review of Show Me the Kwan

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Call out words in categories where the “1st, 2nd or Last” letter match one of the letters on the dice rolled.  A great quick game to boost vocabulary and test your skills in a low-pressure (but still fast-paced) word game!

Good luck and happy word play!"

Review…

I was sent the Show Me the Kwan game from Griddly Games to review.

The price for this bottle is $15.29.  Shipping is free with Amazon Prime.

Packaging & Presentation of Show Me the Kwan

This package arrived safely to my house. There were not any issues during shipment. The game was packaged neatly inside of a zippered bag.  The entire package is 7.5" x 4.0" x 1.5" at its widest points.  The bag is blue with white accents and an orange zipper.

The front of the bag labels the product.  The tag hanging from the zipper provides the ages for play, the amount of players, warnings, and company contact information.

My Personal Experience with Show Me the Kwan

I love word games.  My two favorites are Scrabble (of course!) and Scattergories.  When I saw this game, it kind of reminded me of Boggle, and I haven't played that in years.  However, this isn't Boggle, and it has quite a twist!

I opened the bag, and I found a plastic container that that holds all of the pieces.  It has a lid so nothing falls out.  The directions were placed on top.

There are (30) topic cards (the green side is easy, and the pink side is harder), (1) numbered die, (12) letter dice, and an hourglass timer.

The cards were kind of hard to open, so I used scissors.  Be careful to not scratch your cards!

...and of course the directions.  These came in handy because this game confused me a bit at first, but the more I played, the more fun it got!

Pros of Show Me the Kwan

  • Comes in a great carrying case.
Cons of Show Me the Kwan
  • I haven't found any cons of this game.
        Summary

I really enjoy playing this game!  It's fun, fast paced, and simple.  It can be played with as little as 2 people, or as many as 10!  The age range is great, too.  I like that the categories can be easier for younger players, or harder for adults (but worth the same points!).  I definitely recommend this game.  It's great for a Family Game Night.
