The Baby Banana Brush Story:

A few years ago, my two-year-old grandson tripped and fell on his toothbrush as he was trying to brush his teeth. The traditional hard plastic toothbrush punctured the roof of his mouth and came within centimeters of entering his brain. As a mother of 8, I knew that this all-to-common occurrence of babies falling on hard toothbrushes should be preventable, but how? As these questions were on my mind, I discussed them with my daughter-in-law, who is a dental hygienist and with her insight the idea for a flexible infant toothbrush was born.

She taught me about the safety specifications we would need, such as a slight "C" shape to our brush. We brainstormed about ideas of fun things that might fit that "C" shape and came up with the Banana! I had some experience from previous products my company was developing with plastics and other materials. I consulted with several engineers and determined that 100% medical grade silicone would be the best material to serve our "flexible" needs.Next, I went to Taiwan - the silicone capital of the world - in 2004. There I met with the company that would eventually become our manufacturer. We had our toothbrush FDA registered, patented and tested with private labs. We knew we had created something unique - a flexible toothbrush and teether in one - which did not exist in the market at that time.

We launched our product at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists Convention in Washington, D.C. May 2008. There was lots of excitement for the product at this convention, and we began selling our toothbrush in pediatric dental offices and baby boutique stores.

Packaging & Presentation of the BTipsy Lemon Squeezer

The BTipsy lemon squeezer arrived in a nice box.  After opening the box, the lemon squeezer was packaged inside a plastic bag.

The lemon squeezer did not contain any instructions.  The exterior box was really busy and I would prefer to have a pamphlet with the printed information instead.

My Personal Experience with the BTipsy Lemon Squeezer

The box was pretty disappointing, but the lemon squeezer was awesome.

It was really, really easy to use.  I usually squeeze lemons by hand, so this really helped out.

The first step is to open the lemon squeezer and insert a cut lemon with the shell on top.

The next step is to squeeze both of the handles together.  The juice comes out of the drain holes placed in the bottom of the device.

When both of the handles meet, and juice is no longer coming from the lemon, you are done.  After you open up the squeezer, your lemon will be smooshed.

The best thing?  No seeds, and super fresh lemon juice.

Pros of the BTipsy Lemon Squeezer

• This has got to be one of the easiest assistant tools I've ever used.

• The lemon squeezer is very heavy duty, it will not break. Not anytime soon.

• I love that it is dishwasher safe.

• By using this, I extracted almost triple the juice that I normally do by hand.

• This product includes a 3 year warranty.

Cons of the BTipsy Lemon Squeezer

• There are no instructions. 

• The exterior box is too busy.  A printed pamphlet inside would suffice.

• It required more effort to squeeze than the description led me to believe.  It was not hard by any means, but I did have to use two hands for  maximum extraction.

Summary

This is definitely a must-have for your kitchen.  I squeeze more lemons and limes than I would think, and this is an investment that would pay for itself over time.  It would save the hassle of hand-squeezing, the possibility of you dropping seeds into your recipe (if you are like me!), and having your hands smell like a lemon, lime, or orange all day.  I really like this, I recommend it. Packaging & Presentation of Volo Energy Stickpacks

I really like portable mixes, so when I learned of Volo Vitamins, I was excited to give it a try.  This is an energizing blend of vitamins, perfect for powering through tough workouts, etc.  

Each packet contains 4g of powder, enough to flavor an 8 oz glass/bottle of water or juice.  The packets are easy to open; they have a perforated tear-strip on the top.

The expiration dates are clearly stamped on each stickpack.  The back of each stickpack gives the supplement facts.  They are really small, but if you look close you can read them.

The two flavors of Volo Energy Stickpacks are citrus and berry burst.  The citrus is the yellow pack...

...and the red pack is berry burst.

My Personal Experience with Volo Energy Stickpacks

Of course I had to try both of the flavors (not at the same time!).  I chose to go with the citrus first. It couldn't have been easier.  Open the packet up and pour the powder in a glass, and then add 8 ounces of cold water, stir, and enjoy! 

Secondly, I tried the berry burst.

My husband also tried them!  He chose the berry burst.

...so--  the big question.  How did it taste?  Not that great.  It was pretty good at the top, but it became more bitter near the end of the glass.  I stirred it really well, too.  On a good note, the flavors really did taste as advertised.

How did it make me feel?  GREAT.  EXCELLENT.  ENERGIZED.  Really.  Volo Energy Stickpacks really do work.   I rather drink these than overload my body with unhealthy energy drinks. I felt naturally energized, not like I was going to crash at any moment.
