     From the website. . .
"Bulu Box is the best way to discover health, nutrition and weight loss products. Each monthly sample box is filled with 4 to 5 premium products selected to help you feel your best. Look forward to a new mix monthly for both women and men that include: vitamins, weight loss, energy, protein, digestion, sleep support, fitness DVDs, healthy food utensils and more."

Review…

Bulu Box recently sent me their newest November subscription box.  This box included the following:  AllergEase, Supreme Protein Accelerate Bar, NeoCell Biotin Bursts, DSpeed Fast-Melt Vitamin D3, Brode Electrolyte Vitamins, and this month's lifestyle bonus is a Waxelene Lip Tube.

The Bulu Box is very, very affordable at $10/month, with free shipping!  You can also sign up for a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month subscription, and can cancel at time.  It's as easy as that!

Packaging & Presentation

As I opened my mailbox, I was excited to see this little orange box sitting inside.  Measuring 12" x 8", this box packs a bunch of goodies!  Clearly, one can see that it is, indeed, the Bulu Box.  What you see below is a picture of the exterior box. On the bottom was the shipping label, and the rest of the box is covered with encouraging quotes.  Interesting!

I loved opening this month's box!  It was really nice.  Everything was set up like it was handled carefully.  The papers were set nicely on top of the tissue paper, and the products were nested neatly inside.

My Personal Experience with the Bulu Box

If you know me personally, you would know that I love learning about nutritional products, and living a healthy lifestyle.  This is what naturally attracted me to the Bulu Box.  Sometimes, I walk around stores and see a bunch of products I like, but they are so expensive!  The Bulu Box is a great way to be able to sample premium products at a low price.  Here is the close-up of this month's products:

The first product that I tried was the AllergEase.  These are lozenges that help with seasonal allergies fast without side effects.  It uses natural herbal ingredients that helps allergy symptoms without the drowsiness that sometimes occurs with other products.  I really, really liked these lozenges.  They started off sweet with a nice honey taste, but that subsides fairly quickly, giving way to a lemony boost.  My husband on the other hand, did not like these.  I really like the lemon flavor, so I guess it's personal preference.  I would definitely buy these again.  They are priced at $13.99 for 42 drops at the Bulu Box Shop.

Secondly, I sampled the Supreme Protein Accelerate Bar.   These bars are designed as a morning source of protein.  They use natural sweeteners and flavors, and it is gluten-free.  This bar tasted pretty good.  It's not my favorite flavor, but I'm sure they come in a variety of others to choose from.  I would definitely be open to trying some other flavors.  These are great for boosting your metabolism and getting a great energetic start to your day.  These are $31.99 for 12 bars at the Bulu Box Shop.

The third sample is a product called NeoCell Biotin Bursts.  These chews are considered to be a 'beauty nutrient'.  They improve hair, skin, and nails.  I'm always just a little afraid to try chews. They are definitely hit or miss.  These were actually really good.  I could probably eat them like candy (although I won't!).  They are Brazilian Acai Berry flavor.  I didn't have enough of a sample to really know if they worked or not, but as far as the chew itself?  Yes.  It is delightful.  You can buy these on the Bulu Box Shop for $21.59 per 30 chews.

The next product that I tried is the DSpeed Fast-Melt Vitamin D3.  These are fast-dissolving tablets that melt within seconds of hitting your tongue.  These are great for immune system support and also benefits your cellular health.  These are gluten, soy, dairy, and preservative free.  These were peach flavored, and I'd say they tasted alright.  They didn't melt as fast as I though they would, but they definitely did melt after some time.  There was not any residual residue, it was a very easy process.  Personally, I'd rather just take the actual supplement pill, but these are great for those of you that do not/cannot swallow pills.  These are $6.95 for 60 servings on the Bulu Box Shop.

Next, a product that I've was really excited to try!!  These are called Brode Electrolyte Vitamins.  They have absolutely no sugar or caffeine.  They support proper hydration, and they are great for preventing hangovers, jet lag, and during workouts.  These smell funny coming out of the pack-- they smell like a multivitamin.  I really liked them, but I noticed that they made me drink more water, kind of craving it.  You can buy 10 packettes of these for $24.97 on the Bulu Box Shop.

The last product in this month's Bulu Box is the bonus item-- the Waxelene Lip Tube.  This was a full-sized product, and it is an alternative to petroleum jelly.  It uses only organic ingredients like soybean oil, beeswax, rosemary oil, and vitamin E.  It helps moisturize, protect, and soothe your skin at the same time.  The first thing that I thought when I used this is that I didn't like it.  It tastes terrible, and it doesn't smell good.  But it really works like it says it does.  I like that it's all organic ingredients, and it really does make your lips light up.  I just wish it was flavored with some natural peppermint or something.  Also, it lasts a long time.  You can try this for yourself for $10.80/3 tubes on the Bulu Box Shop.

This month I received a Bulu Box Gift Guide that outlines some holiday bundles that would make the perfect gifts!  There are some excellent prices in this guide!  You can check some of these bundles out here.

Lastly, I also wanted to make note of the included sample journal.  It is a card that allows you to keep track of the samples.  For instance, it lists all the samples and allows you to fill in information about them as you take them.  It is a good way to keep track of what you like (...and what you don't!).  The other side lists information about all the included samples.  I use mine every time I sample, so I know exactly what I'd like more of.

Pros of the Bulu Box
  • You get to try well known, expensive nutritional supplements, weight loss products, and more once a month without wasting a bunch of money (especially if you don't like it!)
  • Shipped directly to your door.  No going to GNC to ask for small samples, no ordering samples from numerous websites.
  • There is a little something for everybody.  It's nice to be able to step out of your comfort zone, too, and try something you wouldn't normally purchase.
  • The sample journal is a nice tool to hang on the fridge and remind yourself to rate each sample for the rewards program.
  • I love how Bulu Box gives you a lifestyle bonus product.
Cons of the Bulu Box
  • Sometimes a subscriber does not prefer products with certain ingredients.  It would be awesome if the Bulu Box website allowed you to create a profile that let you check off a list of common ingredients that you don't like.  That way they don't ship you samples that you won't use.
  • Some of the samples are too small, and you do not have enough sample to formulate an opinion of the product.
Summary

This box was very diverse.  There was a little something in it for everybody.  I really enjoyed the AllergEase, I think they are wonderful.  The NeoCell Biotin Bursts were probably my favorite product in this box.  They are so yummy, and they help the natural production of what every girl loves-- hair, skin, and nails!  The protein bar was pretty good, I'd like to try other flavors, though.  I'm not so much a raspberry person.  The Brode Electrolyte Vitamins made me crave water, so I'd say that's a good thing!  The DSpeed Fast-Melt Vitamin D3 was nice, too.  I think the melts are too much of a hassle, and I'd much rather just take a pill.  However, these are great for the pill-haters.  I wasn't too keen on the Waxelene Lip Tube, but it did work, and it worked really well.

I also wanted to let you know about Bulu Box's rewards program.  After you sample everything, you fill out a survey about how you liked it, and you get 60 points.  That equates to $6.00.  These rewards points stack up so you can buy the full-sized versions of your favorite products.  It's a pretty cool idea, and you aren't losing anything out of it.

YET ANOTHER awesome element of Bulu Box is they participate in the Vitamin Angel program.  Bulu Box will donate $0.25 of select purchases to Vitamin Angels to help at-risk women, new mothers and children gain access to life changing vitamins and minerals.
