My Review of Exfolimate

What is it exactly?

     From the website. . .
"Exfolimate is your handy mate to instant exfoliation and pore clarification without the fuss of scrubs and loofahs that only rub the surface of your skin without actually removing the problem.
The secret is Exfolimate’s innovative micro-groove technology etched into the smooth metal edge. The micro-grooves gently lift and remove lingering skin cells and debris to unveil younger, fresher skin."

Review…

I was sent a 2-piece Exfoliator Tool Set from Exfolimate to review.
The same set is available at Walgreens, Amazon, and many other retailers for $29.99.

Packaging & Presentation of Exfolimate

The packaging for Exfolimate is pretty awesome. It comes in a box with a window in the front so you know exactly what you are getting.  The back of the package is informative.  It gives an introduction to the product, reasons to use it, and quick instructions on how to use it.

After opening up the box, I was presented with a plastic insert that held both the face and body Exfolimates, 2 wrist straps, and instructions.

Each Exfolimate has a stainless steel edge designed with micro grooves and smooth edge technology.  There is both a face and body Exfolimate.  The face one is smaller than the body one (you can see it in the picture above).

It was easy to attach the wrist straps.  After you put them on, there is an adjustable ball that you can fit to your wrist.

My Personal Experience with Exfolimate

If I had to choose one part of my beauty regimen that I couldn't live without, it would be exfoliating.  It is so refreshing and makes your skin look gorgeous!

I've used plenty of products for exfoliation, but I can honestly say that I've never used a tool quite like this before.

I decided to start on an area that is not very sensitive, so I chose my left arm.  It was pretty easy-- you hold the 'body' Exfolimate between your fingers (make sure you get a good grip) and apply slight pressure while you glide it around at a 90-degree angle.  You must make sure your skin is wet, and only glide it a maximum of 4 to 6 times in one area.

Next, I used the 'face' Exfolimate.  Once again, I wet my face with warm water to ensure that it was supple before exfoliation.  It works great on your nose!

Pros of Exfolimate
  • Quality made product.  This will last you a long time.
  • Money-saver.  Although it is a bit of an initial investment, you won't ever need to buy any washes, creams, etc.
  • After only 5 glides of the Exfolimate, I noticed softer skin.  Of course, like all good things, it gets even better with time.
  • Can be used on all areas of your body.

      Cons of Exfolimate
      • Storage.  It would be great if the manufacture also included a small suction hook of some sort so you can keep your Exfolimate hanging up in the shower without it sitting in a pool of water.
          Summary

I really enjoyed reviewing the Exfolimate.  It was a completely different experience than my normal exfoliation steps.  What I like best is that it works really well without any additional product.  It doesn't work as fast as actual exfoliation washes, but it does work just the same in the long run.

Can you hang them up around the faucet handle?
