..::Review + Givewaway::.. Balboa Baby Nursing Cover

My Review of the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover

What is it exactly?

     From the website . . .
"Nursing helps prevent obesity, heart diseases, juvenile diabetes, multiple sclerosis and asthma. When women look back on the time they spent breast feeding their babies, what they most remember is the closeness, the intimacy of nursing. Now with the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover you can give your baby the best – Anywhere!"

Review…
Balboa Baby recently sent me the Black/White Leaf nursing cover to review.

There are 12 different patterns you may select for your nursing cover. They are all stylish, and there is an option for everyone's tastes!  Each nursing cover costs $36.00, but they can also double as a stroller cover!

Stroller Cover

Packaging & Presentation

When the box arrived from Balboa baby, I was pretty excited to open it.  The box was colorful, informative, and just attractive.  There were no included instructions.

There is a window on the front of the box, so you can see the pattern inside.  The back of the box lets you know everything you need to know about the works of the nursing cover.

The sides of the box show you the approval by Dr. Sears, and provide other usage suggestions, such as a sunshade for a stroller and car seat.

My Personal Experience with the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover

I'm sure you've noticed all the talk about women nursing their babies in public.  It's a big thing.  Like a real hot item right now.  There are people for it, there are many against it, and there are the few that don't care either way.

I'm all for it.  So is she.

But personally, I like to use a cover.  I was attracted to the Balboa nursing cover at first site.  It is unlike other nursing covers that I shopped for.   It is multipurpose, full coverage, it has an awesome pocket on the front, and it lets me nurse anywhere my heart desires!

After a little adjusting, the fit was absolutely perfect.  Here are some pictures of my modeling it so you can see the actual coverage, and the overall fit:

I can tell you right now that this nursing cover will last a l-o-n-g time.  It isn't cheaply made, It is fitted all around the right places.  The stitching is very professional.

She liked it!
I fed Cici using the nursing cover, and I had absolutely no problems.  She was happy, and it didn't scare her.

Pros of the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover
  • Fitted. The nursing cover has a reinforced neckline and an adjustable shoulder strap.
  • Patterns.  All of the nursing covers have a stylish pattern. It is very hard to select just one!
  • The way it fits around the baby.  It has a perfect amount of room for the baby without slipping off or becoming too tight around the baby.
  • Quality.  This nursing cover will last a lifetime.  It is a great investment if you are planning to have more kids.
  • The pocket.  I like the pocket for two reasons: being able to stow a burp cloth, and being able to have easy access to your keys if you are nursing while walking around a store.
  • Price.  The price for the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover is mid-range.  I've researched nursing covers in and out (I just had a baby), and you cannot get a better quality nursing cover for this price.
  • Designed in Southern California.  My favorite place on earth!
Cons of the Balboa Baby Nursing Cover
  • No included instructions.  I know that it is a simple task to put on a nursing cover, but in order to see how to exactly adjust it, you must go on the website.  This can be a bit of an inconvenience to some.  Also, I was a little uncertain how to attach it to my stroller for full coverage.
  • Some products do not come in the same pattern.  I am a little OCD when it comes to matching.  I really, really like the pattern of the nursing cover that I received, but I do not see the matching pattern in the Balboa Tote Bag.  This would either cause me to select a different pattern that I do not like as much, or not purchase the tote bag at all.  I love being able to have the option of getting every product that I like in the same pattern.
Summary

This nursing cover is outstanding.  It lived up to every standard I personally have for a nursing cover.

I give it my highest recommendation.
